We are a small, close-knit team based in Manchester city centre. Everyone contributes to product decisions, feature direction and the way we solve problems. We are looking for a full stack developer to help us improve the Hollee platform as we bring on more customers.

The role

You will work across the product, from user-facing interfaces to backend services and integrations. You will collaborate directly with the founders and wider team, take ownership of features and ship work used by real customers.

• Build and improve tools for creating, configuring and managing AI agents
• Develop workflow and automation features
• Create clear, usable product interfaces and platform management tools
• Integrate LLMs, APIs, MCP servers and external services
• Improve knowledge ingestion, document handling and AI-assisted content features
• Build internal tools that help the team move faster

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of professional experience as a software engineer, software developer or full stack developer
• Experience building user-facing web applications, SaaS products or technical platforms
• A good understanding of backend development, databases, APIs and application architecture
• Solid frontend skills and the ability to build clean, usable interfaces
• Experience with Git, testing, debugging and modern development workflows
• The judgement to move quickly while still taking responsibility for quality
• Comfort working in a small team where priorities can change as the product develops

How we use AI

AI coding tools are part of our daily engineering workflow. We are looking for someone who already uses tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, Windsurf or similar to explore approaches, write and review code, debug, test, document and refactor.

You should be able to explain where AI improves your work, where it can introduce risk and how you make sure the software you ship is secure, maintainable and fit for purpose. You will remain responsible for the quality of the work, whether code is written by you or produced with AI assistance.

Our technology

The platform currently includes Laravel, PHP, modern JavaScript and APIs. We are refactoring parts of the product and working with Pydantic, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS and PostgreSQL. Experience with MySQL, Docker or LLM APIs is useful, but strong product engineering judgement matters more than an exact match to every technology.

• You have built AI-assisted tools, apps, agents or automations at work or in your own time
• You can show how AI tools have helped you produce better work, not only faster work
• You have experience with LLM APIs, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, agents or workflow automation
• You enjoy taking a feature from a rough idea through to deployment
• You care about the experience of the person using what you build
