The Glazing Estimator plays a crucial role in accurately assessing costs and resources for residential, commercial, and industrial glazing projects. This independent position requires expertise in cost estimation, material analysis, and project budgeting, complemented by regular site visits to verify measurements and ensure precise quotes. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the estimator collaborates closely with clients and internal teams to deliver reliable and competitive estimates using a mix of software tools and manual calculations.

Responsibilities

Estimate costs for residential, commercial, and industrial glazing projects
Analyze material requirements and pricing to ensure budget accuracy
Prepare detailed project budgets and quotations
Verify measurements through site visits and documentation review
Assess project risks related to cost and scheduling
Communicate effectively with clients and project stakeholders
Utilize Microsoft Excel, dedicated estimation software, custom internal tools, and manual calculations

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in construction estimation
Associate Degree in Construction Management or related field
Proficiency in construction estimation and blueprint reading
Strong skills in material costing and attention to detail
