Frontend Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to help build our technical team from the ground up at a mission-driven company advancing medical education for healthcare professionals worldwide. We're looking for a strong React and Next.js engineer who is comfortable reading and safely modifying PHP.

This is a migration-focused role: you will move screens off legacy PHP onto our modern React/Next.js
stack, shrinking our PHP footprint one screen at a time rather than maintaining it long-term. We're
looking for a thoughtful collaborator who communicates clearly with teammates and takes genuine
pride in doing careful, high-quality work.

Qualifications:

• Strong professional experience with React and Next.js
• Ability to read and safely change PHP codebases; this is not a PHP framework specialist role
• AWS experience across two deploy paths, plus enough CloudWatch experience to debug a route that behaves differently after moving
• Experience using AI coding assistants for code porting and migration work
• 3+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
• A genuine team player who communicates openly, collaborates generously, and helps build a
• supportive, culture-first environment for the people around them

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate priority screens from PHP to React/Next.js while maintaining functional parity with the original
• Make PHP maintenance changes as needed under an active feature freeze
• Debug and resolve routing or behavior differences that surface after a screen moves to the new stack
• Use AI-assisted porting techniques to accelerate the PHP-to-React migration
• Collaborate closely with QA on parity testing for every migrated screen
• Show up as a collaborative, culture-first team member as we build our technical organization from the ground up
