As we continue to rapidly grow, we have a career opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our Taylor Farms Foodservice team as a Senior Controller located in Salinas, California.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with the Food Service President and leadership team to develop and execute business strategies.
• Provide financial analysis and insight to drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization.
• Monitor and report key financial and operational performance indicators.
• Oversee standard costing and product cost analysis.
• Lead financial analysis related to raw product costs, packaging materials, labor costs, freight costs, etc.
• Ensure timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company financial policies.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities.
• Monitor capital project spending and expected returns.
• Optimize cash flow and working capital performance.
• Lead and develop finance and accounting teams across the Food Service segment.
• Collaborate with multiple controllers within the division and across the Taylor Farms Family.
• Dotted line reporting relationship to Chief Accounting Officer

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years in senior finance leadership roles within a manufacturing company, fresh food preferred.
• Experience managing large budgets.
• ERP systems experience (Microsoft D365, preferred)
• Excel proficiency in pivot tables, vlookup, if statements, index, and other various formulas and data manipulations
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
