Job Summary: The Project Manager leads planning, coordination, and delivery of software development initiatives within a healthcare technology environment. This role ensures projects are executed predictably, meet regulatory and operational requirements, and align with clinical, technical, and organizational priorities. This role reports to the CTO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, define scope, establish timelines, and coordinate resources for software initiatives supporting health system workflows.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, product, QA, clinical operations, compliance, and IT teams.
- Ensure project requirements reflect clinical workflows, EHR integration needs, interoperability standards, and regulatory expectations.
- Works with development team to code and designs software applications based on user specifications.
- Collaborates with internal and external systems engineers, and programmers to design systems to support required applications.
- Monitors and assists with testing and validation procedures and programming.
- Provide clear, timely updates to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Recommend enhancements to development workflows, documentation practices, and cross‑team communication.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience as a project manager in software development environment.
- Direct experience working with EHR systems, clinical workflows, or healthcare IT platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for clinical and operational audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, C#, and Swift (iOS).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, tablet or mobile device.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Working Conditions:
- Work will be performed in a home office setting.
- Must maintain a HIPAA compliant dedicated space in the home office setting to complete documentation and to conduct telehealth visits. This space must provide privacy to protect PHI/PII and provide a professional backdrop for video conferencing.
- Access to Wi-Fi required.
