Backend Developer (Python & AI)

About the Role

SaaS Rationalization LLC is building a software platform that helps businesses understand and optimize the software they use. The goal is to identify unnecessary or overlapping SaaS applications, improve visibility into software usage, reduce unnecessary costs, and make software management more efficient.
To support this product, we are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Python experience and practical AI/ML experience. The platform will use backend services to process software and business data, while AI capabilities will help analyze information, identify patterns, and support intelligent recommendations and automation.

What You’ll Work On

Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python
Develop data processing and business logic for our SaaS optimization platform
Integrate and work with AI/ML models and APIs
Build backend workflows that support AI-powered analysis and recommendations
Work with databases and external service integrations
Deploy and maintain backend services in AWS
Improve reliability, performance, security, and scalability of backend systems

Requirements

Strong professional experience with Python backend development
Experience building production APIs and backend services
Practical experience with AI/ML technologies, such as PyTorch, model integration, or similar frameworks
Experience working with relational or document databases
Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work independently in an early-stage product environment

Nice to Have

Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
Experience with LLMs, AI APIs, or recommendation systems
Experience with Docker and cloud-based deployments
Experience building SaaS or B2B software
