Senior Java Engineer

About The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled and independent Senior Java Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), building robust and scalable applications. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise in modern Java ecosystems with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

This role is on-site in San Francisco or San Jose.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: Develop, code, test, and debug Java applications across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• User-Centric Design: Design new features and implement continuous improvements driven by user experience data.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous unit testing to identify and resolve programming errors, ensuring optimal application performance.
• Documentation: Write and maintain comprehensive software documentation guides using standard industry tools.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with other members of the development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Core Technical Stack: Strong, proven expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, WebFlux, Cassandra, REST API Development, and Kafka.
• Testing Proficiency: Deep experience with testing frameworks, specifically JUnit and Mockito, alongside common testing tools.
• Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Work Style: Ability to work independently with highly effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Communication: Exceptional relationship-building and cooperation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to coworkers.
