API Developer (ID #26-10041)

Genesis10 is currently seeking an API Developer for a contract position with a Major Healthcare Company located in Eagan, MN. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. This position is hybrid.

Compensation: $62.00 - $72.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
The selected candidate will build and support backend services that enable digital interoperability between healthcare systems. This role focuses heavily on Java-based API development within a cloud-native AWS environment to help meet CMS mandates for digital data exchange between payers, providers, and patients. Experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend APIs and integration services
• Build and maintain services using Java with supporting JavaScript/TypeScript as needed
• Deploy and support services in an AWS environment
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and BSAs to clarify requirements
• Proactively seek information when documentation is incomplete
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and peer code reviews

Primary Requirements:

• FHIR experience
• Strong Java backend development experience
• API development and integration experience
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve proactively

Desired Skills:

• Healthcare integration experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API security
