About the Client

Is looking for a talented Remote Video Editor to join our team and help create engaging social media content across Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

This is an editing-focused role for someone who can take raw footage and creative briefs and quickly turn them into polished, scroll-stopping short-form content.

You'll work closely with our Creative Producer, helping shape footage into compelling videos while maintaining a fast turnaround and high standard of quality.

What You'll Do

Edit vertical short-form videos (9:16) from raw footage, including talking-head content, event coverage, skits, athlete content, and more
Create fast-turnaround cuts without sacrificing quality
Add captions, strong pacing, sound design, and light color/audio cleanup
Create multiple hook or variation options from the same footage when needed
Turn around revisions quickly based on feedback and creative notes
Process raw footage, identify the strongest moments/selects, and organize timelines for final editing when acting as an assistant editor
Follow creative briefs and incorporate feedback efficiently
Communicate proactively about progress, timelines, and any blockers

What We're Looking For

Proven experience editing short-form vertical video for social media
A strong portfolio or editing reel demonstrating your work
Excellent understanding of social media editing conventions, including hooks, pacing, cutting rhythm, music, and sound effects
Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
Comfortable working with fast turnarounds and managing multiple edits simultaneously
Strong organizational skills for raw footage, project files, timelines, and final handoffs
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness in a remote/async environment
Reliable internet connection and your own editing setup, including a capable computer and hard drive

Nice to Have

Experience creating videos that have gone viral or performed strongly on social media
Familiarity with AI-powered video editing and creative tools
Experience editing content for wellness, fitness, or nutrition brands
Motion graphics, Fusion, or VFX experience

Logistics
Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Full-Time, working on PST

Compensation: $1,500/month
