Research Engineer – FEA

Location: Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh
Employment: Full-time

We are looking for a Research Engineer – FEA to develop and extend open-source finite element solvers for advanced engineering and additive manufacturing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify FEA solvers using C++/Python.
• Implement and validate numerical methods for structural, thermal, and coupled multiphysics problems.
• Develop FEM formulations, element routines, material models, solvers, and boundary-condition implementations.
• Work with open-source frameworks such as CalculiX, Code_Aster, MOOSE, or similar.
• Benchmark and validate solver results against analytical, experimental, and commercial FEA results.
• Contribute to research publications, technical reports, and production-quality simulation software.

Required Skills

• Strong fundamentals in Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM) and numerical methods.
• Hands-on experience with open-source FEA solver development or source-code modification.
• Strong C++ and/or Python programming skills.
• Understanding of linear/nonlinear structural mechanics and thermal analysis.
• Ability to read and implement research papers into working simulation code.

Preferred

• Experience with additive manufacturing, residual stress/distortion, welding, or thermo-mechanical simulation.
• Experience with Linux, Git, parallel computing, or multiphysics solvers.
• M.Tech/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Civil Engineering, Computational Mechanics, or a related field.
