About the job
Build real product. Own features end to end.
Squoosh.AI builds AI-powered tools that help commerce teams understand and improve digital experiences. We are looking for a resourceful engineer who can turn product ideas into reliable software and take ownership across the stack.
Remote | Full-time | $90,000–150,000 USD/year | One opening
What you will do
- Build customer-facing features across the frontend, APIs, and data layer.
- Turn tickets and product requirements into clear implementation plans and small, reviewable pull requests.
- Debug issues across the stack, fix root causes, and add meaningful regression coverage.
- Improve usability, performance, reliability, and the developer experience.
- Use AI coding tools effectively while reviewing the code, testing behavior, and owning the result.
- Work closely with the founders and engineering team, communicate blockers early, and follow work through to release.
What we are looking for
- Strong practical coding ability and examples of software you have shipped: professional work, internships, open-source contributions, or substantial personal projects.
- Confidence with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend development, plus experience building APIs and working with SQL databases.
- Solid fundamentals in HTTP, Git, testing, debugging, and data modeling.
- The ability to learn an unfamiliar codebase, make sensible tradeoffs, and finish work without constant supervision.
- Clear communication, curiosity, and a high bar for correctness.
React/Next.js, TypeScript, Python APIs, Postgres, browser automation, and CI/CD are useful. You do not need experience with every technology to apply.
Strong performance means consistently shipping useful features, handling edge cases, writing clear PRs, and leaving the codebase easier to work in. You can explain your implementation and how you verified it.
How to apply
Apply with your resume. Include a GitHub, portfolio, demo, or other shareable work sample if available, and a short description of a feature you personally shipped: the problem, your contribution, and how you tested it. Do not share confidential code.
We welcome exceptional early-career applicants and experienced builders. Evidence of ability matters more than a particular degree or number of years. Squoosh.AI is an equal opportunity employer.
