Title: Integration Manager (Data Center Construction)
Location: Mount Pleasant, WI
Position Summary:
- Our client is seeking a Telecom Integration Manager to represent the owner's telecom interests across a large-scale hyperscale data center campus in Southern Wisconsin.
- This is an owner's representative role focused on Layer 1 / physical telecommunications infrastructure — structured cabling, fiber, pathways, spaces, and grounding — from design review through commissioning and handover.
- This person will be embedded on site across active project stages including earthwork, foundations, and weather-tight, coordinating the telecom scope alongside general contractors, cabling subcontractors, and other trades.
- This is an oversight and coordination role. The successful candidate directs and validates the work; they do not perform installation, terminations, or field labor themselves.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the owner's telecom interests throughout the project lifecycle — design, construction, commissioning, and handover
- Review and validate telecom design drawings, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance with owner standards
- Coordinate telecom scope across general contractors, low-voltage subcontractors, and trade partners to maintain schedule and sequencing
- Oversee installation and testing of structured cabling, fiber, conduit/pathway, cable tray, ladder rack, and telecom rooms without performing hands-on work
- Identify telecom scope gaps, conflicts, and interferences early and drive resolution with project stakeholders
- Walk the site across earthwork, foundation, and weather-tight stages to verify installed work matches approved drawings
- Review RFIs, change orders, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Support development of commissioning plans, test result review, redlines, and closeout/turnover documentation
- Track telecom deliverables against project milestones and escalate risks as needed
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in data center or mission-critical telecom infrastructure, with direct experience on large-scale construction projects
- Proven experience reviewing telecom construction drawings — this is a firm requirement.
- You must be able to speak in detail to specific drawing sets they have reviewed, marked up, or approved
- Strong Layer 1 expertise: structured cabling systems, single-mode and multimode fiber, copper backbone, pathways and spaces, telecom room design, grounding and bonding
- Experience in a coordination, owner's representative, consulting, or construction management capacity
- Working knowledge of applicable standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NEC as it relates to low voltage)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable holding contractors accountable
- Able to work onsite in Mount Pleasant, WI for the duration of the engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI RCDD or equivalent certification
- Prior experience on hyperscale campuses
- Experience with hyperscale telecom contractors or national low-voltage integrators
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, IT, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted)
- PMP or data center design certification
Thanks
