About LYOS:

LYOS is a live mobile travel app helping people unlock travel knowledge from their own network.

Think of it as your travel network, your places, your people and your story - bringing together the places you have visited, the people you've met/know, the experiences they recommend, and the stories behind their travels.

The app is already live on both iOS and Android, with an early and growing user base. We are now looking to strengthen our technical team as we build towards our next stage of growth.

The role:

We are looking for a mobile developer to work directly with our CTO, helping develop, improve and maintain the LYOS mobile application.

This is an equity-only role at this stage, suited to someone who is excited by an early-stage startup and wants meaningful ownership rather than a conventional freelance or salaried position. We will be raising funding at the end of 2026/early 2027, with a view to this becoming a full-time paid position over time.

You will be joining a small founding team where your contribution can have a direct impact on the product.

What you'll be doing:

• Working directly with the CTO on the LYOS mobile application
• Building and improving new mobile features
• Fixing bugs and improving app stability and performance
• Working with APIs, backend services and third-party integrations
• Helping optimise the existing iOS and Android experience
• Testing, debugging and releasing improvements
• Contributing to technical decisions and product development
• Helping us move quickly from ideas to production

What we're looking for:

We're looking for someone who is practical, self-motivated and comfortable working in an early-stage environment.

Ideally you will have:

• Strong mobile development experience
• Experience with React Native, our existing mobile technology stack
• Good understanding of APIs and backend integration
• Experience working with production mobile applications
• Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the CTO
• A genuine interest in travel, social products or consumer apps

Startup experience is a plus, but attitude and ability to execute are more important than a long CV.
