Technical Consultant

Overall purpose of the job:

• Designing, implementing and supporting secure technical solutions for our customers.
• Maintaining and continuously improving the Internal IT environment at Xpertex.

Key responsibilities for this job:

• Designing and implementing technical solutions to fulfil customer needs, collaborating with senior customer stakeholders to understand their requirements
• Providing technical support to customers, including on customer premises where required
• Creating and contributing to RFP/ITT/RFI/SoW/HLD/LLD documents and completing them to a high level of technical detail
• Provide pre-sales support to the business for customer engagements
• Any other fair and relevant task or duty assigned to you by your manager, or other senior Exponential-e Ltd staff member

Knowledge and experience required:

• SC clearance eligible.
• Experience and/or qualifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server.
• Experience and/or qualifications with Networking products, Juniper would be most relevant but Cisco or HPE would also be adequate
• Consultancy experience, providing advice, proposals and designs to customers but also willing to be involved with support

Desirable knowledge and experience:

• Relevant Microsoft qualifications such as MS-102 or AZ-104
• Maintaining systems to a hardened level required by Cyber Essentials+ or CIS benchmarks
• Palo Alto & SonicWall firewall experience
• VMWare, Hyper-V, Proxmox or Morpheus hypervisor
• Experience with hardware servers and storage
• Cloud networking and Security
• Relevant networking qualifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent
• Able to demonstrate strong commercial understanding and business acumen
