About the job

About Flow

Manufacturers' reps are the sales force of the industrial supply chain — the people who sell the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial products that end up in every building in America. It's a big channel running on spreadsheets, email, and software built in 2004.

Flow is the platform that replaces all of it: CRM, quotes, orders, commissions, warehouse — plus an AI layer that cuts out most of the manual work a rep does every day.

We sell AI. We also run on it. This role is where that gets proven.

Read this first: you have to know this industry

Manufacturers, reps, and distributors — how the channel fits together, how each one makes money, and how they think and operate day to day. Our customers can tell in one sentence whether you've been in their world, and it changes how they respond to everything we send.

We can teach you the marketing tools. We can't teach you the channel. This is the first thing we screen for.

Read this second: AI is the job, not a perk

This is one seat doing what most companies staff with three or four people. That math only works one way, and it's the reason this role exists in this shape.

We expect you to:

Automate your own job continuously. Anything you do twice by hand is a process you should be building away. List building, research, enrichment, drafting, reporting, data cleanup, campaign QA — if you're doing it manually in month three the way you did in week one, this isn't working.

Draft at volume with AI and edit like a human. Emails, campaigns, one-pagers, social. You should be producing several times the output of a traditional marketing coordinator, and none of it should read like a robot wrote it.

Use AI on the data, not just the words. Segmenting lists, summarizing engagement, spotting which accounts went quiet, turning a messy export into a target list. Most people stop at copywriting. Don't.

Bring your own stack and keep upgrading it. We don't want to hand you a toolset. We want to see what you've already built and steal your ideas.

If your honest answer is "I use ChatGPT to help write emails sometimes," you are not going to enjoy this job. We'd rather leave the seat empty than fill it with someone working at 2019 speed.

Why now

We already have demand. Hundreds of firms have raised their hand, we have happy customers, and there's a community forming around the product. The marketing and sales process is up and running — it's just early, and there's more coming in than we can keep up with.

We need someone to run it day to day and make it dramatically better, fast.

What you'd do

Run our outbound and follow-up. Hundreds of interested firms only matter if nobody falls through. You own the sequences, the nurture, the re-engagement. Nobody goes quiet on your watch, and you'll know the number without being asked.

Write the copy. Emails, campaigns, newsletter, website updates, one-pagers, booth materials. High volume, fast turnaround, human voice.

Keep the CRM honest. Data hygiene, lead routing, lifecycle stages, reporting. You're the person who actually knows what's in the pipeline.

Target on data, not vibes. We track usage, line cards, which manufacturers each firm carries, show scans, email engagement. Use it to decide who gets contacted and when. Blasting everyone is the lazy answer and we'll notice.

Drive trade show follow-up. AIM/R, NEMRA, PTRA, MAFSI, HARDI. Build the target list before, capture during, and make sure the follow-up actually goes out — most companies drop this and waste the whole show.

Run the community calendar. FlowMakers — webinars, training sessions, user groups. Invites, reminders, guest coordination, attendance.

Collect our proof. Pull testimonials, quotes, and case studies out of customers who already love us and turn them into something the team can sell with.

Who we're looking for
You know this industry. You've worked at or sold to a rep agency, manufacturer, or industrial/electrical/plumbing/HVAC distributor. You know what a line card is and roughly how commissions work.

You're an AI power user, full stop. See above. This is the second hard filter and we will ask you to show your work.

You close loops. This role lives or dies on nothing slipping. If you're the person who keeps the list and finishes the thing, that's the job.

You're not afraid of data. Pulling lists, segmenting, building a simple report. You don't need to be an analyst, but "can someone send me that number" is not an option.

You move without being told. Small team, fast decisions, no detailed plan handed to you. You'll get goals and be expected to work out the steps — and to flag it early when something isn't working.

Nice to have
-Email marketing or CRM experience (HubSpot or similar)
-Helped run webinars, events, or a trade show booth
-Copywriting experience
-Built an automation or workflow you're actually proud of — tell us about it
