Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Support person, supporting the Air Force Program Executive Officer for PEO training (AFLCMC/RO) at Robins Air Force base in Georgia. This position resides in the Automatic Test Systems (ATS) division within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) and is responsible for the development, acquisition, and sustainment of automated test equipment and systems. These systems are crucial for testing and maintaining various Air Force weapon systems and equipment, ensuring they are operationally ready and meet performance standards.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • The ideal candidate will provide Technical Support by assisting in the performance of technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for overall systems, subsystems, and support equipment, including integration of Mission Support Equipment (MSE).
  • The ideal candidate will also assist in the performance of engineering activities to include defining system requirements, reviewing vendor designs and technical proposals, researching and developing technical solutions, performing systems functional analysis, conducting trade studies, conducting technical reviews, and performing test and evaluation activities.
  • Provide Analysis by coordinating with USG agencies, prototype facilities, commercial vendors, and engineering firms to conduct analyses. Aid in creating engineering documentation and electrical engineering analyses.
  • Perform Risk Management activities by assisting in identifying, managing, mitigating, and addressing technical and program architecture risks, including interoperability analysis and risk assessment.
  • Provide support for the integration of current and evolving systems into the weapons system platforms.
  • Providing engineering support by utilizing electrical engineering principles to determine the business and technical needs of Mission Partners in the acquisition, development or sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, support systems, equipment items, or an equivalent product

Education And Years Of Experience

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD.
  • OR bachelor’s degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 of which must be in the DoD.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
