About the job
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Invetech, you will be a key contributor to design and own complex mechanical and electromechanical subsystems for medical, diagnostics, and life-science products.
This is an opportunity to combine deep, hands-on engineering with broader technical influence. You will have direct collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams. You will feel rewarded as you have the ability to see your work as functioning hardware in the lab.
About Us
At Invetech, we design and develop innovative products that improve lives. With over 35 years of experience, we partner with leading global companies to deliver complex solutions in biomedical, healthcare, and consumer markets.
Our work sits at the intersection of engineering, science, and commercial thinking, where practical problem solving and creativity come together to create real outcomes.
Why Join Us?
You will not be limited to maintaining one mature product or designing isolated components. You will solve different problems across technology platforms, contribute throughout the development lifecycle, and have visible influence over both the design and the way it is developed.
For an engineer who enjoys difficult mechanical problems, working directly with CAD and in the lab, and having genuine ownership of the result, this role offers considerably more breadth and technical impact than its title alone conveys.
What You Will Do
- Apply medical-device design controls, risk management, traceability, verification planning, and disciplined design documentation throughout development.
- Establish robust CAD assembly architecture, reference geometry, mate strategies, configurations, and interface control, so models remain stable and usable as designs evolve.
- Evaluate motion, packaging, clearances, interferences, service access, cable and tubing routing, assembly sequence, and integration with electrical, software, optical, fluidic, and thermal elements.
- Develop manufacturable components and assemblies using processes such as machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, additive manufacturing, casting, and elastomer fabrication.
- Produce released engineering drawings and documentation incorporating appropriate GD&T, fits, tolerance analyses, materials, finishes, critical dimensions, bills of materials, and inspection requirements.
What You Will Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- ~5+ years’ experience in product development, ideally working with electro-mechanical systems.
- Advanced SolidWorks experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of a mechanical or electromechanical subsystem through detailed design, release, integration, testing, and problem resolution.
- Experience developing regulated medical devices is preferred but not required.
What We Offer
Along with a great team of people to work with, at Invetech we offer:
- Comprehensive Healthcare benefits program
- 401(k) matching
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- A collaborative and supportive team environment
