Technical Cofounder & CTO

We're two physicians building an AI-native platform that automates a regulated clinical review process, one that today still runs manually on phone, fax, and dated software. We just wrapped up our time in Batch 22 of UC Berkeley's SkyDeck incubator (PAD-13).

We bring the clinical, regulatory, and product expertise, and we're looking for a technical cofounder to own the architecture and engineering. This is a meaningful equity cofounder role, and we're looking for a true partner to build it with us, who can grow into the CTO role and lead the engineering team as we scale.

This is an equity-only role at this stage. We're pre-revenue and bootstrapping through our own clinical work as we move toward live cases and a raise, so you'd need to be able to sustain yourself through the pre-funding stretch. We're looking for a genuine cofounder, not an early hire.

Who we're looking for:

• Strong AI/ML background (ideally applied LLM / RAG / agentic or workflow-automation work) paired with the full-stack range to independently architect and ship a production MVP solo (backend, frontend, infrastructure)
• Drawn to unglamorous, high-stakes, regulated problems where reliability matters, and cares about getting things right over just shipping fast — instinctively verifies their own work and flags what's uncertain
• Able to put in at least 20 hours/week now, with a path to full-time (this is roughly what we each commit alongside our clinical work), and based in the Bay Area

Healthcare, finance, or other regulated-industry experience is a plus, not a requirement.
