We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager, Application Development to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise application development initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing the full software development lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, high-quality applications that support critical business operations.

About the Role

The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of project management expertise and technical acumen, with experience managing modern application development programs across web, mobile, cloud, API, and enterprise platforms. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, development teams, QA teams, and executive leadership to drive successful outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives.

This is a highly visible role requiring a proven leader who can effectively manage complex technical projects, align business priorities with technology solutions, and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Leadership

• Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise application development projects from initiation through deployment and post-production support.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, dependencies, and risks across multiple initiatives.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, and executive communications.
• Partner with business leaders and product owners to define priorities, requirements, and success criteria.
• Drive project execution using Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Application Development Delivery

• Oversee delivery of custom-developed and commercial off-the-shelf application solutions.
• Coordinate activities across software engineering, architecture, quality assurance, DevOps, security, infrastructure, and support teams.
• Ensure application solutions meet business requirements, security standards, performance expectations, and scalability objectives.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and deployment activities.
• Monitor project health and proactively address delivery risks and technical issues.

Technical Collaboration

• Partner with architects and engineering teams to understand solution designs, integration requirements, and implementation approaches.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Provide regular status reporting, risk assessments, and executive-level communications.
• Coordinate external vendors, consulting partners, and development partners as needed.
• Manage project expectations while ensuring business and technical alignment.

Risk & Quality Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure appropriate testing, release management, and deployment processes are followed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and team effectiveness.
• Track project KPIs and delivery metrics to ensure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience leading technology initiatives.
• 5+ years managing application development and software delivery projects.
• Proven experience managing projects through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA analysts, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and product owners.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, project governance, and software release processes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
