💼 Job description:

Job title: Field-Service Technician (Commissioners) – Be the product owner of high speed and precision automated equipment

Pack-Smart is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician (Commissioners) to install, commission, and support our advanced packaging automation systems. The ideal candidate brings strong electro-mechanical skills, thrives on solving real-world challenges, and is excited to travel to customer sites (and the world)! Commissioners display strong technical knowledge to our global customers, as well as providing pristine customer service, representing Pack-Smart Inc. internationally. International travel up to 50% is required!

Hourly Rate: $40-$45 per hour.

*Requests outside of the salary range is available and determined by the hiring process*.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of system installation and commissioning through to customer acceptance.
• Work directly with cross-functional engineering teams and clients during design reviews and on-site implementations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical challenges, resolve root-cause issues, and document actionable solutions.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on best practices for setup, performance optimization, and ongoing maintenance.

📚 Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on commissioning experience with automated systems or packaging machinery.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and engineering schematics.
• Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and technical.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% (nationally and internationally).

Our headquarters is based in Concord, Ontario. A hub for advanced manufacturing with access to urban amenities, close to highway 400 and 407. There is free parking available on-site. Our facility is clean with great lighting, fostering innovation and collaboration!
