As a Project Manager, you have the opportunity to be a part of our Center of Operational Excellence, driving efficiency and optimization of projects across the business. As a member of the Canadian supply chain team, you will have ownership of a suite of projects and be empowered to implement them to meet QSCC Canada Inc.’s high standards. Your scope of projects may include Wendy’s core menu items, limited time menu offerings, special programs, or promotions as well as issue management. The Project Manager works closely with internal and external partners, creating strategy and ensuring seamless execution of company initiatives, implementing solutions and projects to deliver on our commitment of quality and price for Canadian restaurant operators.

The Wendy’s Company has formed a cooperative (Co-op) to provide supply chain services for all Wendy’s restaurants in North America. Quality Supply Chain Cooperative, Inc. (QSCC) sources and contracts to purchase items and services necessary for the successful operation of a Wendy’s restaurant. The Co-op (QSCC) is a separate corporation with governance oversight from an elected Board of Directors representing all franchisees and The Wendy’s US Company restaurants. QSCC Canada reports to QSCC U.S and are considered Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada employees leased to QSCC - US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily workflow related to projects and their development using established standards, processes and tools. Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies, while pursuing continuous process improvement and best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison with cross-functional partners, including procurement, distribution & logistics, suppliers and Wendy’s marketing and R&D teams, to ensure that product and program goals are met.
  • Anticipate and respond to project issues that may impede project delivery. Partner with team members such as QSCC supply chain team, suppliers, and Wendy’s cross-functional partners to coordinate solutions. Escalate as needed to manage budgeted obsolescence and assurance costs.
  • Lead management of the procurement item lifecycle for “Limited Time Only” SKUs, including listing, pricing, and supplier management, partnering with category (procurement) manager as needed to assure supply for restaurants in Canada.
  • Monitor project progress, drafting and distributing periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders. Leverage virtual and in-person tools, including Microsoft Teams, to communicate information through email and presentations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Travel: 5%

Pay Range: CAD 105,000.00 - CAD 184,000.00 Annually

What We Expect From You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field strongly preferred. Certificate(s) in project management and Six Sigma a plus.
  • 5+ years of project or program management experience, ideally in the restaurant or related industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing, and conflict management
  • Strong time management skills, including an inherent sense of urgency
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite; especially Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience with demand planning and allocation strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of project management processes, such as Scrum and Agile
  • Experience working in the restaurant industry

Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Canadian Restaurant Support Center 5515 North Service Rd STE 201 Burlington ON L7L 6G4 Canada or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 3 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.
