Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer to join our growing team supporting clients within the Banking and Financial Services sector. This role is responsible for defining and executing comprehensive test strategies that ensure the quality, performance, reliability, and stability of business-critical applications and platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience working in banking or financial services environments and possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation, and regression testing practices.

This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to reside in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area and work onsite four days per week.

What you will do at Sogeti:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for banking and financial applications.
  • Lead testing efforts across functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Ensure high-quality software delivery by validating application functionality, performance, reliability, and usability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve efficiency and release quality.
  • Support and execute regression testing cycles to ensure application stability and minimize production defects.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Track, document, and communicate test results, defects, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Analyze root causes of defects and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of quality engineering standards, tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Support release validation activities and provide quality sign-off recommendations.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Software Testing.
  • Experience developing and executing test strategies for enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation and regression testing.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality engineering methodologies, and Agile delivery practices.
  • Experience using test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required Industry Experience

  • Prior experience working within the Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Lending, Payments, Credit, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets sectors.
  • Understanding of regulatory, compliance, security, and data quality considerations associated with financial applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Tosca, UFT, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience testing APIs, integrations, and web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, or equivalent.
  • Candidates who do not reside within commuting distance of Phoenix will not be considered.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $85,000 - $120,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
