- The minimum salary is $68,985.28 annually.
- This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of 40 hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to develop and maintain data strategies, security and structures by identifying, documenting, integrating and producing actionable information and coordinating the sharing of that information in a way that will best benefit end users. This will entail migrating Microsoft Access databases to our local MS SQL 2022 AG environment, designing and implementing interfaces between our mission-critical on-premises and secondary cloud systems, and developing in-house solutions to meet the growing need to understand, maintain, and improve interactions with our data.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Two years of related experience, ideally including TSQL, C#, PHP, VBA, or other on-premises web and/or Windows Client application development
- Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience
- Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create and maintain database structures, documentation, data integrity and security
- Lead internal/external meetings with vendors and users
- Develop reports and basic applications for both back-end and front-end systems
- Develop best-practice documentation and training for users to interact with data, reports, and applications
- Assist in the design and testing of new applications and respond to Help Desk Tickets specific to areas of expertise
- Perform related work as assigned
