Construction Project Manager

Own commercial solar projects end to end — 100% remote, field-based across California.

Revel Energy designs and builds custom commercial solar and energy storage systems that help California businesses cut energy costs and take control of their power. We're growing fast in a market that isn't slowing down.

We're hiring a Project Manager to run our commercial projects from contract through commissioning. This is real ownership — budget, schedule, subcontractors, AHJs, utilities, and the customer. It is not a coordinator role with a project manager title.

This is a commercial and industrial (C&I) role. Our service area runs from the Central Valley to San Diego, and you'll be in the field regularly.

What you'll do• Develop and own the project budget, schedule, and scope from kickoff through close-out.• Negotiate and manage subcontractor, vendor, and engineering agreements, including scope, safety plans, and schedules.• Determine site-specific requirements from the local AHJ, utility, and safety authorities; identify permit and interconnection fees early.• Drive permitting, inspections, interconnection, and Permission to Operate (PTO) to completion.• Track progress and cost in Smartsheet; keep forecasts and reporting current and honest.• Monitor material procurement and delivery to stay ahead of supply chain problems.• Conduct site visits, run kickoff meetings and standups, and manage quality, safety, and punch lists.• Own the customer relationship through construction, commissioning, training, and handoff to O&M.

What you bring• 5+ years of commercial project management experience.• 3+ years of commercial construction management and/or site supervision.• Commercial solar or commercial electrical experience strongly preferred.• Confident reading and building to permitted plan sets, and managing as-builts with inspecting agencies.• Working knowledge of utility interconnection, AHJ permitting, and inspection processes.• Strong with Smartsheet and MS Project; comfortable in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.• OSHA 30 preferred. PMP and other certifications welcomed.• Based in California with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel the territory.• Self-directed, organized, and calm under a full project load.

Compensation and benefits• $125,000 - $145,000 per year, depending on experience.• Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard rate.• Medical, dental, and vision coverage• PTO, paid holidays, sick leave• 401(k)
