The Digital Media Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution, optimization, and performance measurement of all digital media campaigns for Air Canada and Aeroplan. As stated in the document, the role “assists in execution, and performance tracking of all digital media campaigns for Air Canada & Aeroplan” . Working closely with Digital Media Managers, internal product owners, and external partners, this role ensures campaigns launch flawlessly and deliver against business objectives. The Analyst conducts thorough evaluations of media performance and transforms data into actionable insights that inform optimizations and future media strategies. This role is essential in ensuring Air Canada’s digital investments drive measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

Digital Media Planning & Execution:

  • Support the development and in market execution of digital media plans by working directly within media buying platforms (e.g., Google Ads, DV360, Meta Ads Manager).
  • Assist Digital Media Managers in translating marketing briefs into tactical media plans, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and performance KPIs.
  • Coordinate with internal product owners to gather campaign requirements, validate targeting parameters, and ensure readiness for launch.

Agency & Publisher Collaboration

  • Collaborate with leading media and creative agencies to ensure campaign strategies align with broader media goals and brand direction.
  • Work closely with major publishers such as Google and Meta to support negotiations, campaign implementation, and activation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external partners by providing timely updates, clarifying deliverables, and ensuring alignment on campaign objectives.

Campaign Management & Delivery

  • Responsible for the day to day management of multiple concurrent campaigns, ensuring deadlines are met and campaigns launch on time.
  • Coordinate asset delivery with Ad Operations and ensure all creative materials are properly trafficked and QA approved.
  • Troubleshoot campaign issues (tracking, pacing, delivery) and escalate to partners when needed.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily to ensure KPIs are met, identifying optimization opportunities through data driven insights.
  • Conduct deep dive analyses to evaluate channel effectiveness, audience performance, and creative impact.
  • Provide recommendations that influence future media strategies and budget allocation.
  • Support the QA and delivery of weekly and monthly reporting, ensuring accuracy of data and clarity of insights.
  • Assist in post campaign analysis, summarizing performance against objectives and identifying learnings for future campaigns.
  • Present insights to internal stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in media, with a focus on digital execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of advertising, marketing, and media principles.
  • Hands on experience with platforms such as Google Ads, DV360, Meta Campaign Manager, TikTok, Twitter, etc.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaborator who thrives in a team environment.
  • Interest in travel and the aviation industry.
