About the project:

We are modernizing the core e-commerce architecture for an established international aerospace parts distributor. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you will take complete technical control of a live production platform, clean up legacy tech debt, and design custom ERP data pipelines. If you enjoy deep backend engineering, architectural autonomy, and building resilient systems without generic cloud shortcuts, this project offers direct engineering ownership from day one.

Key Ownership Areas:

• Full-cycle Magento 2.3.3 → 2.4.x migration, covering PHP 8.1+ updates, extension remediation, and DB schema fixes.
• End-to-end design of the product data sync pipeline connecting Magento to Microsoft Business Central via REST/webhooks.
• Legacy codebase takeover, code audit, and documentation cleanup following the vendor transition.
• Quality assurance and regression control over core B2B pricing, tier structures, and catalog pages.

Does this relate to you?

• Over 4 years in Magento 2.x backend development, backed by real-world experience shipping a 2.3.x → 2.4.x upgrade to production.
• Hands-on practice designing REST/webhook integrations with ERP platforms, ideally within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong background in PHP, MySQL, and core Magento internals, making it easy to audit and navigate complex, unfamiliar code.
• Practical knowledge of on-prem infrastructure setup, ensuring complete environment parity without relying on cloud-managed services.
• Active adoption of agentic AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT) as genuine productivity drivers for refactoring and documentation.
• B2+ level of English.
