Software Engineer: Front End Developer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining code components within Aloe and its tooling. You will work in a close-knit team that spans engineering, UX, cognitive science, design, and operations, in our shared mission to invent, implement, and deliver the most significant user interface changes in a generation.

Qualifications

• Design and develop dynamic web applications to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Strong experience in a strongly-typed interpreted language, like Typescript.
• Strong experience in a reactive functional UI framework, like Svelte, React, React Native, or SwiftUI.
• Experience in native iOS or macOS development using Swift, SwiftUI, or Objective-C.
• Experience working in a professional team of software engineers, and the tools and best practices for code, collaboration, and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; pixel level perfection is core to what we do.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills working remotely.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
• Desire to stay informed about emerging trends and technologies, continuously enhancing your skills and the team's capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Svelte and Typescript for web application development.
• Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Familiarity with WebSockets to connect applications to back-end services.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with web-based local application stacks (like Electron or Tauri) is a plus. We don't use either of these in Aloe, but many of the same principles apply.
