Mission

wai is the operating system for the world's most advanced clinics. We build the software a clinic actually runs on, from the consultation room to the back office to the patient's phone, so that clinicians spend their time on medicine and everything else takes care of itself. It is in live deployment today, and it improves every week because real clinicians and real patients are using it. We intend to change how medicine is practised worldwide, and to redefine what health means for people: something you understand, hold and act on for a lifetime. Every role at wai exists to bring that future closer.

The Program

This is a 12-week, part-time learning placement inside wai's Go To Market team, the group responsible for how the world finds wai and what it understands when it arrives. You learn by doing real brand work at student scale: bounded projects, weekly teaching, and line-by-line feedback from the founding team, with a portfolio at the end that you can show any employer.

The placement is designed around your degree, not around our calendar. Five hours a week at most, flexible around classes, paused for exams. One live group teaching session per week, fully remote. Individual signed start and end dates, rolling starts, capped at twelve weeks.

What You Will Learn

• How to research an audience and write a positioning one-pager that survives contact with reality.
• How to plan a content calendar and judge what is working from real analytics, not vibes.
• How to write captions and hooks that earn the first two seconds, with line-by-line feedback on every draft.
• How to run a small campaign test and report the result honestly.
• How to present work and take feedback, the skill that decides interviews.

What You Will Not Be Asked To Do

• Run our brand accounts day to day, or do the work of paid staff. Your projects are learning exercises, reviewed by your supervisor.
• Like, comment or share posts on a schedule. Your own accounts stay your own.
• Contact anyone in a way that hides your connection to wai.
• Anything outside your agreed hours. Ever.

What We Are Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a US university, any major. Interest in marketing, wellness or media matters more than your course list.
• A native feel for the platforms. You are in them daily, and you can tell good from nearly good.
• Excellent written English and an ear for a sentence.
• Truth before persuasion. We work in healthcare. You never overstate what a product can do, and you never use confidence where evidence should be.

Pay, Credit, and What Comes After

This is an unpaid learning placement. There is no expectation of compensation, no bonus, no prize, and no guaranteed job at the end. What there is: weekly teaching, real feedback, credit paperwork signed if your school offers it, and a portfolio you built yourself. Participants may separately apply for any open paid role at wai, under the same process as every other applicant.
