This is a on-site position. Will need to work 5 days a week in offices located in Pittsburgh, PA.
Qualifications:
- Strong software development and engineering skills, with proficiency in one or more modern languages (e.g., C#/.NET, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions, LLM-based applications, or intelligent automation in production environments
- Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted development tools to design and write code efficiently
- Experience leading, mentoring, and guiding teams or organizations on AI adoption and implementation strategy
- Strong proficiency with SQL and Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation
- Experience with enterprise AI and automation platforms (RPA, workflow orchestration, ML services, cloud AI tooling)
- Solid understanding of API development, microservices, and system integration
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the banking, fintech, or financial services industry
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel)
- Familiarity with MLOps, model risk management, and responsible AI governance
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, AWS Machine Learning, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer)
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, SOX, AML/KYC, GDPR)
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Engineering
- Design, build, test, and deploy AI-enabled applications and automated workflows using modern programming languages, frameworks, and AI/ML tooling.
- Develop production-grade code leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, LLM-based coding assistants) to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and drive engineering efficiency.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and data pipelines to connect AI models, automation platforms, and core banking systems.
- Develop and orchestrate solutions using enterprise AI/automation platforms, including RPA, workflow engines, LLMs, and machine learning services.
- Perform data preparation, transformation, and validation to support model training, prompt engineering, and automation use cases.
- Implement automated testing, monitoring, and observability for AI and automation solutions to ensure reliability and performance in production.
AI Strategy & Leadership
- Lead and guide teams, business units, and the broader organization on how to identify, prioritize, and implement AI and automation opportunities.
- Define and champion an enterprise AI strategy and roadmap, including tooling standards, best practices, and adoption frameworks.
- Provide technical mentorship and direction to analysts and engineers, conducting code reviews and establishing engineering standards for AI-assisted development.
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate banking requirements into scalable AI-driven solutions.
- Lead process mapping and discovery sessions to identify high-value automation and AI use cases and quantify business impact.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and evangelist, educating teams on responsible AI usage, prompt engineering, and emerging AI capabilities.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all solutions meet security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, AML/KYC, model risk management).
- Establish and follow responsible AI practices, including bias mitigation, explainability, data protection, and access controls.
- Document architectures, workflows, processes, and outcomes to support audit, compliance, and operational transparency.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
