ComResource is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager fto support complex technology and business transformation initiatives. This position is ideal for an accomplished project and program leader who can take ownership of high-visibility initiatives, lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, and drive programs from strategy and planning through implementation and stabilization.
Programs may involve enterprise technology transformation, ERP implementations, infrastructure and cybersecurity, AI and data platforms, operational improvement, M&A integration, and other strategic initiatives.
We are looking for leaders who go beyond project coordination. Successful candidates will be comfortable challenging assumptions, influencing decisions, navigating ambiguity, identifying risk, driving accountability, and serving as a strategic partner to both business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional technology and business programs from initiation through implementation and stabilization
- Develop and manage comprehensive program plans, roadmaps, milestones, budgets, resources, dependencies, and deliverables
- Coordinate multiple projects and workstreams while maintaining alignment with broader strategic objectives
- Partner closely with engineering, IT, cybersecurity, product, operations, finance, HR, supply chain, and other business functions as appropriate
- Build strong relationships with executives, technical leaders, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners
- Identify and proactively manage program risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, and competing priorities
- Drive accountability across teams and influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority
- Establish effective program governance, reporting cadences, steering committees, and escalation processes
- Prepare and deliver executive-level status reports, presentations, roadmaps, and recommendations
- Translate complex technical information into clear business impacts, decisions, and actionable next steps
- Facilitate planning sessions, stakeholder meetings, program reviews, retrospectives, and other program ceremonies
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and overall delivery performance
- Support testing, implementation, cutover, release, and change management activities as appropriate
- Evaluate project performance through metrics and KPIs and identify opportunities to improve delivery
- Help improve PMO processes, governance standards, documentation, and overall program management practices
- Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with organizational priorities
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience, preferably within enterprise technology environments
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-functional projects or programs
- Strong understanding of technology implementations and the software/system delivery lifecycle
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, dependencies, risks, budgets, and resources
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong executive presence with experience communicating with senior leadership
- Ability to translate complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive accountability without direct authority
- Strong risk management, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, organizational change, competing priorities, and difficult stakeholder conversations
Preferred Qualifications
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations or transformations, including Oracle, SAP, Infor/M3, or similar platforms
- Infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, or other enterprise technology programs
- AI, data platforms, software development, or digital transformation initiatives
- Mergers & acquisitions (M&A), acquisition integration, or Integration Management Office (IMO) initiatives
- Global organizations and/or manufacturing environments
- PMO leadership, portfolio management, governance, or PMO development
- Organizational change management and technology adoption
- Financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and business case development
- Vendor management and procurement
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Planview, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow PPM, or similar project management tools
- PMP, CSM, SAFe, or other relevant project/program management certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
