About the Role
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant nursery setting in London. In this role, you will help deliver exceptional care and education, creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare & Education: Deliver high-quality learning and care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Person Duties:
Act as a designated "Key Person" for a specific group of children, building strong developmental bonds with them and their families.
Planning & Observation: Observe, assess, and plan engaging play-based activities (indoors and outdoors) that cater to each child’s individual developmental milestones.
Safeguarding & Welfare: Strictly adhere to safeguarding policies (including KCSIE and local procedures) to ensure the health, safety, and overall welfare of all children at all times.
Parent Partnerships: Maintain open, professional relationships with parents and carers, providing daily updates on children’s progress, well-being, and daily routines.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nursery colleagues, support students/volunteers, and actively participate in staff meetings and continuous professional development.
Candidate RequirementsQualifications:
Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE Diploma, or equivalent recognized by the DfE in the UK).
Experience: Proven professional experience working within a UK nursery or early years setting. Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of the EYFS framework, child development, and statutory safeguarding guidelines.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a creative approach to play, and the ability to use initiative.
Compliance: Must be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and provide satisfactory references.
