About the role
The Operations Analyst will serve as an analytics partner for the Operations team at Point and its sub-functions, providing data-driven insights that guide strategic and tactical decisions. This role is responsible for providing visibility into key measures of the team’s performance - including function-level output, error-rate, and SLA attainment. By translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations, they will influence decisions and help drive outcomes that align with both team and company objectives.
Your responsibilities
- Create dashboards tracking operations performance trends and progress towards achieving company-wide goals
- Support operations leadership team in team-wide projects by using data to inform implementation plans and measuring project outcomes.
- Apply quantitative analysis and presentation of data to identify and drive strategic operational improvements.
- Use tools such as Sigma and SQL to uncover and elevate data-driven insights into action.
- Maintain a high bar for analytical quality and operational rigor, ensuring recommendations are well-supported and executed effectively.
About you
- Experience in analytics roles — ideally 1–3 years.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, aggregating, and analyzing large datasets.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma).
- Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations for Operations stakeholders.
- Collaborative with strong communication skills — comfortable partnering with customer-facing staff, people managers, and senior leadership.
- Attention to data quality and governance — experience ensuring accurate instrumentation and tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience).
- Experience building dashboards or reporting frameworks that scale across teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with Snowflake (or a comparable cloud data warehouse) for querying and aggregating production data; comfort working directly with raw/warehouse tables rather than only pre-built dashboards.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience in fintech or regulated financial services environments, particularly in payments, lending, or digital banking, is preferred.
- Exposure to dbt or other SQL-based data transformation/modeling tools.
