About the job
Full Stack Engineer (0-2 yrs) - Haiku Studio
Fully remote (India) · CTC: ₹10-12 LPA · Reports to: Founder
What we do
Haiku Studio builds and runs software products for real businesses: DermaAI (a clinic OS for skin clinics: AI prescriptions, WhatsApp, billing), AMAL, Yadnya, and more coming. Small team, paying customers, shipping every week. You will work directly with the founder across all of these.
Who you'll work with
The founder is a second-time founder and ex-engineer at Google and Palo Alto Networks, who now builds products end to end: code, design, sales, support. For now, you are hire #1 on engineering, which means you get something rare this early in a career: daily, hands-on mentorship from someone who has shipped at big-tech scale and at startup speed, on everything from system design to how to run a customer call. You will learn in a year what usually takes three.
What you'll do
- Build features end to end: Django/DRF backend, React/TypeScript frontend, Postgres
- Ship with AI coding tools daily (Claude Code, Cursor) without lowering the bar. AI multiplies whatever you bring: good engineers get 10x faster, sloppy ones ship 10x more bugs. We want the first kind
- Write short design docs before non-trivial work, follow the codebase's conventions, test what matters. Fast and accurate, not fast or accurate
- Collaborate with designers on flows and screens, and with customers (doctors, clinic staff, business owners) on demos and feedback. Then turn that feedback into the next build
- Own the details that make a product feel finished: loading and empty states, mobile, print, edge cases
What we're looking for
- 0-2 years building and shipping web apps. Any stack; we use Python + React
- Comfortable on both sides: the API and the screen that uses it
- Cares about code quality even when the AI wrote the first draft. Does the right thing, not the quick thing
- Product sense: you notice when a flow is confusing before the user does
- Hungry to learn, quick to adapt, always upgrading your own toolkit
- Highly ethical and disciplined. You do what you say, own your mistakes, and handle customer data with care
- High energy, communicates clearly, enjoys talking to customers, and is a team player.
- A plus, not a requirement: hands-on with LLM apps. Prompt engineering, LangGraph/LangChain pipelines, RAG, evals and LLM-as-judge, speech-to-text, structured outputs (Pydantic), AI governance (cost monitoring, PII handling, guardrails)
If you have the entrepreneurial itch and want to start something someday, this is the closest thing to a rehearsal: you'll see how a product business is actually built and run, from the inside
How to apply
Send a link to something you built (GitHub, live app, or a short Loom walkthrough) and 3 lines on what you'd improve in it, to [email protected]
