Genzeon is seeking a proven, market-facing AI-Native Engineering Practice Leader to build and scale a high-growth AI and Engineering Services business focused on Application Modernization, Cloud Transformation, and AI-First Software Engineering for the U.S. healthcare industry. Leveraging Microsoft's Azure, AI Foundry, GitHub Copilot, and Application Innovation ecosystem as strategic growth platforms, this executive will create differentiated offerings, launch marketplace solutions, shape transformative client engagements, and help healthcare organizations modernize legacy applications, accelerate software delivery, and unlock measurable business value through Agentic AI and intelligent automation.

As a trusted advisor to healthcare executives and a strategic collaborator with Microsoft field and technical teams, you will lead executive workshops, influence transformation pursuits, build proactive pipeline, and drive AI-led modernization strategies for health plans, providers, and healthcare technology organizations. You will carry direct accountability for new bookings and margin targets, and will partner closely with delivery leadership to build, incubate, and scale the capabilities this business needs to win and deliver. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish Genzeon as a recognized leader in AI-native engineering, application modernization, and agentic innovation across the healthcare ecosystem.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a leader who can build and scale a market-facing practice, create differentiated offerings and marketplace IP, conduct executive workshops with payers and providers, shape and win strategic app modernization deals across Azure and other hyperscaler platforms, lead AI-first solution architecture, and establish Genzeon as a recognized leader in AI-Native Engineering for healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Growth

• Define and execute Genzeon's AI-Native Engineering strategy leveraging Microsoft’s AI stack, spanning app modernization, legacy modernization, greenfield AI-native development, QA modernization, and AI-enabled managed application services.
• Develop differentiated offerings, accelerators, and marketplace solutions (GitHub, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft AI stack) that generate repeatable demand and new revenue streams; build and mentor a team of AI architects, consultants, and engineers.
• Develop AI-native engineering frameworks leveraging GitHub Copilot, Agentic DevOps, modern platform engineering practices, and Azure AI capabilities to transform client’s software delivery organizations.
• Serve as a visible thought leader across clients, industry events, and healthcare technology communities.

AI Advisory & Client Engagement

• Build executive relationships and lead transformation workshops for payers and providers; advise CIOs, CTOs, CSOs, and CAIOs on legacy modernization, cloud strategy, AI adoption, and strategic roadmaps that align AI investments with business outcomes.
• Advise clients on foundation model and LLM strategy, evaluating tradeoffs across model families, latency, security, governance, and total cost of ownership while guiding model selection across frontier models, SLMs, and the broader AI ecosystem.
• Help clients understand tokenomics, cost optimization, and AI operating model considerations; advise on Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent orchestration, and multi-agent architectures.

Solutioning & Strategic Pursuits

• Lead AI-first solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals; shape and structure app modernization deals across hyperscaler platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), including commercial models and multicloud/hybrid modernization strategy.
• Architect Agentic DevOps practices and Azure Well-Architected Framework-aligned reference architectures; build presales and solution engineering capability (demos, PoCs, accelerators) to directly support sales.
• Build executive-level business cases and lead solution reviews to ensure architectural excellence.

Healthcare Modernization & Interoperability

• Lead modernization initiatives across payer, provider, and HealthTech organizations, managing app modernization programs across multicloud and hybrid environments.
• Design healthcare interoperability solutions (APIs, FHIR, HL7) and ensure alignment with HIPAA, CMS interoperability mandates, and enterprise governance requirements.
• Bring practical understanding of claims, prior authorization, utilization/care management, revenue cycle management, and member/patient engagement into every solution strategy.

P&L Ownership & Capability Strategy

• Own revenue and margin targets for the practice, managing pipeline, pricing, and delivery economics to hit growth and profitability goals.
• Partner with sales and account teams to build and drive a proactive pipeline through executive workshops and advisory engagements; own accountability for bookings and margin performance.
• Work closely with delivery leadership to set and execute the capability strategy required to win and deliver identifying skill, tooling, and methodology gaps and closing them.
• Incubate new capabilities and offerings from concept through scaled delivery, standing up the people, process, and assets needed to take them to market.
• Audit and advise on ongoing client transformations and AI programs as needed, providing independent architectural and delivery-quality review and course-correction where engagements are at risk.

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years in Engineering, Application Modernization, Cloud Transformation, or Technology Consulting, with 5+ years leading consulting practice, engineering organization, or solution architecture function within a Microsoft-focused services organization.
• Proven track record owning practice level revenue bookings, margin and growth targets, including responsibility for strategic pursuits and business expansion.
• Hands-on fluency with GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Agentic AI frameworks, Azure DevOps, and modern SDLC practices; strong grasp of Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Working knowledge of the LLM/foundation model landscape, tokenomics, and MCP, with the ability to advise clients on AI model choices and cost/performance tradeoffs.
• Experience shaping and structuring app modernization deals on hyperscaler platforms, including multi-cloud/hybrid modernization strategy, and building QA modernization or AI-augmented managed services offerings.
• 10+ years supporting U.S. healthcare organizations (health plans, providers, IDNs, PBMs, or healthcare technology companies), with deep understanding of claims, prior authorization, utilization/care management, RCM, and member/patient engagement.
• Familiarity with Epic, Cerner, FHIR/HL7, and CMS interoperability initiatives; solid understanding of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead executive workshops that generate opportunities and drive proactive pipeline with sales teams.
• Strong storytelling, executive presentation, and cross-functional influence skills in matrixed organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience within a top-tier consulting, systems integration, or Microsoft-focused services organization; experience building practices exceeding $10M+ in annual revenue.
• Existing relationships across the Microsoft partner ecosystem and healthcare technology/consulting ecosystems; experience bringing marketplace solutions or packaged offerings to market.
• Microsoft certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, GitHub Copilot) and/or healthcare certifications (CAHIMS, CPHIMS, CHPS, HCISPP, CHCIO); TOGAF or equivalent credential.
