Mandarin Speech Expert

About the Role
This is remote, hourly, flexible evaluation work. You review AI-generated responses in Mandarin, judge how well the model reasons and explains itself, and give expert feedback so its output reads as accurate, natural, and culturally right.

Some days that means rating and comparing several AI answers and explaining which one is better and why. Other days it means writing a strong answer yourself, so the model has a clear example to learn from. You check facts, catch errors in logic or meaning, and make sure terminology, tone, and nuance land correctly for a Chinese audience.

Your calls feed directly into the models built by some of the world's leading AI labs. The judgment you bring is the signal they train on.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and rank AI responses in Mandarin for accuracy, fluency, and how well they fit the context.
Write clear model answers and prompts that show the AI what a correct, well-reasoned response looks like.
Flag errors, bias, and unnatural phrasing, and explain the fix so the model can learn from it.
Check that terminology, tone, and cultural nuance are right for a Chinese audience.
Ideal Qualifications
Native or near-native Mandarin, with a real feel for how the language is used in mainland China.
Comfortable reading and writing English (around B2 or higher) so you can follow prompts and guidelines.
A sharp eye for detail and good judgment on tone, register, and what reads naturally.
Reliable, and clear in how you document your decisions.
Curious about AI and happy to work from written guidelines.
Nice to Have
A degree in translation, linguistics, localization, communications, or a related field.
Professional translation or localization experience.
Familiarity with MQM/LQA quality frameworks (severity, category, root-cause thinking).
Experience with CAT tools and QA workflows (translation memory, termbases, automated checks).
Previous AI data training or evaluation work.
