Assistant Manager- Cloud Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Cloud Engineer to join NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDS). The incumbent will architect, build, and administer robust, secure, and scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This is a highly hands-on technical role bridging infrastructure management, software configuration, and full-stack API integrations for mission-critical government platforms such as e-Office, GeM Portal, and the ULIP/LDB ecosystem. The engineer will own the development and configuration of application runtimes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to drive digital governance in the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Engineering
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Architect and provision multi-cloud (Azure/AWS) resources, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.

• Build, maintain, and scale containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Design and deploy secure and scalable container/microservices architectures across Azure App Services, VMs, and managed databases.

• Manage and optimize secrets securely via Azure Key Vault; enforce Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) and access policies.

DevOps CI/CD Automation

• Design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines via Azure DevOps for automated, repeatable software and infrastructure deployments.

• Configure monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Performance Monitor) to proactively capture system metrics, ensuring high reliability and RTO/RPO SLAs.

Software Configuration, Platform Administration

• Manage and configure application runtimes on Windows Server 2022 and Linux (RedHat/Ubuntu) environments, including IIS, Nginx, and Apache.

• Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend integrations to support government platforms such as ULIP, LDB, and e-Office.

• Act as a technical liaison between internal product teams and external technology vendors, ensuring code quality and seamless API integration.

• Automate processing tasks and document workflows to streamline operations on the GeM and e-Office platforms.

Identity, Endpoint & Security Management

• Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for SSO configurations using SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.

• Enforce Zero Trust security frameworks incorporating risk-based authentication and least-privilege principles.

• Implement Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) across multiple operating systems.

Technology Operations & QMS Compliance

• Administer virtualization infrastructure (Hyper-V and VMware) with live migration and failover clustering.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 QMS and ISO 27001 ISMS standards across software development and deployment processes.
