Accountant

We are a Dubai based digital transformation and web development company. We work with clients in the UAE, the US, the UK and India, and we run our accounts on Zoho Books. We are looking for one
accountant who can handle the books for both our India and Dubai entities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting in Zoho Books for our group companies.
• Close the books every month on a fixed date.
• Prepare the monthly financial statements: profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Handle VAT compliance for our Dubai entity.
• Handle GST and TDS compliance on the India side.
• Raise and send invoices to our US and international clients, and follow up on email until they are paid.
• Reconcile the payments that come in through Stripe, PayPal, Payoneer, Wise, Razorpay and Upwork.
• Manage the multi-currency accounts.

Required Skills:

• Solid hands-on experience with Zoho Books. This is the first thing we look at, so please tell us about it.
• A good understanding of accounting in both India and the UAE. You should be comfortable on both sides, not just one.
• Practical experience with VAT in the UAE and with GST and TDS in India.
• Experience preparing financial statements, and the confidence to spot when something does not look right.
• Experience billing overseas clients and following up on payments.
• Clear written English, since you will be emailing clients directly.

Nice to have:

• Some time spent working with Gulf clients, whether from Dubai itself or from a firm in India that handles UAE accounts.
• Experience at an agency or a services company, where billing runs on retainers and projects.
• Familiarity with the rest of the Zoho suite, such as Expense, Payroll or Analytics.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude Code in day-to-day work.
• Any experience connecting Zoho with AI tools like Claude Code.
