Accountant

WebIndia is a digital marketing and digital transformation agency based in Ahmedabad. We work with
clients in India, the UAE, the UK and the US, and we run our accounts on Zoho Books. We are looking for one accountant who can handle the books for both our India and Dubai entities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting in Zoho Books for our group companies.
• Close the books every month on a fixed date.
• Prepare the monthly financial statements: profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Handle GST and TDS compliance on the India side.
• Handle VAT compliance for our Dubai entity.
• Raise and send invoices to our US and international clients, and follow up on email until they are paid.
• Reconcile the payments that come in through Stripe, PayPal, Payoneer, Wise, Razorpay and Upwork.
• Manage the multi-currency accounts.

Required Skills:

• Solid hands-on experience with Zoho Books. This is the first thing we look at, so please tell us about it.
• Tally or QuickBooks alongside it is a plus.
• A good understanding of accounting in both India and the UAE. You should be comfortable on both
• sides, not just one.
• Practical experience with GST and TDS in India, and with VAT in the UAE.
• Experience preparing financial statements, and the confidence to spot when something does not look right.
• Experience billing overseas clients and following up on payments.
• Clear written English, since you will be emailing clients directly.

Nice to have:

• Some time spent working with Gulf clients, whether from a posting in Dubai or from a firm in India that handles UAE accounts.
• Experience at an agency, an IT services company or a professional services firm, where billing runs on retainers and projects.
• Familiarity with the rest of the Zoho suite, such as Expense, Payroll or Analytics.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Claude Code in day-to-day work.
• Any experience connecting Zoho with AI tools like Claude Code.
• A sense of where AI can genuinely save time in accounting work.
