About the job
- Lead end-to-end SQL Server DBA operations and L2/L3 production support.
- Administer SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, refresh, and SQL Agent jobs.
- Manage Always On Availability Groups, Failover Cluster Instances, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Monitor and tune database performance, including queries, indexes, statistics, blocking, deadlocks, and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, connectivity issues, backup failures, and SQL Agent job failures.
- Manage database security, access controls, auditing, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, security, vendor, and stakeholder teams.
- Lead technical reviews, guide DBA team members, and ensure SLA/SOP adherence.
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, RCA documents, DR documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Experience: 10 15 years of SQL Server DBA experience with SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, T-SQL, Windows Server, PowerShell, and production support.
- Preferred: Azure SQL, SQL Server on Azure VM, CommVault, ITIL, ServiceNow/Jira/BMC Remedy.
