Ophthalmology Assistant

Role: Ophthalmology Assistant
Duration: On going, long term (On demand support)
Location: Dallas, TX

We are seeking a Ophthalmology Assistant with expertise to support tele-ophthalmology services and patient care in Senior Care community living settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist ophthalmologists with patient data entry, examinations, diagnostic testing, and clinical procedures.
Perform ophthalmic tests and accurately document patient results.
Visit community living locations such as assisted living and senior care facilities to provide on-site services.
Prepare patients, equipment, and clinical documentation for examinations.
Use of a software system
Ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care during community visits.

Requirements:
Experience as a Medical Technician, Ophthalmology Assistant, Ophthalmic Technician, or similar clinical role.
Ophthalmology/eye-care experience preferred, ability to use portable devices
Strong patient communication and organizational skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to community living locations.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with ophthalmologists and clinical staff.

Preferred:
Experience with online consultation support is a plus
