Accounting Expert

This role is for U.S.-based accounting professionals who can create and provide high-quality accounting data. You will produce original, synthetic, or properly authorized ledgers, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, close schedules, control documentation, and audit-style workpapers that reflect real accounting workflows.

What you'll do

• Create accounting datasets covering transactions, chart-of-accounts mapping, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, controls, and period-end close.
• Provide supporting schedules, source-style documents, calculation logic, and annotations that connect each record to the expected accounting treatment.
• Check debits and credits, roll-forwards, balances, classifications, and financial-statement relationships for accuracy and internal consistency.
• Use synthetic or fully authorized materials and remove confidential client, employee, vendor, and company identifiers before contribution.

Required qualifications

• Currently based in the United States.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience or advanced training in public accounting, corporate accounting, audit, controllership, bookkeeping, or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of debits and credits, financial statements, reconciliations, internal controls, and U.S. accounting conventions.

Engagement: Flexible contract projects
Compensation: $100/hour
