Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Cairo, Egypt, with flexibility for part-time work from home. The Frontend Team Lead will guide a team of frontend developers, oversee implementation of user interfaces, and ensure adherence to best practices in performance, accessibility, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and reviewing frontend architecture, performing code reviews, mentoring team members, and collaborating with designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders. The role also involves coordinating with clients, gathering and refining requirements, and translating them into technical solutions. The Frontend Team Lead will help establish development standards, provide training, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tooling.

Qualifications

Strong front-end development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI implementation.
Solid software development fundamentals, including version control (Git), testing practices, performance optimization, and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading discussions, and providing clear technical guidance.
Experience in customer service or client-facing roles, with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into user-centric solutions.
Proven experience in training, mentoring, or coaching developers, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Experience leading or coordinating frontend teams on commercial projects, ideally within an agile environment.
Understanding of UX/UI principles and close collaboration with design teams to deliver polished, usable interfaces.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
