We believe life’s about having a good time doing what you love, with the people you love. For us, that means skiing a powder day, adventuring with our families, and working alongside amazing people and customers.

  • The Role -

We're looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and maintain embedded software for our hardware products. You will work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance firmware solutions that power and drive our newest relief-providing devices.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and debug firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system architecture and hardware/firmware interfaces
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C and C++
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system validation
  • Optimize firmware for performance, memory usage, and power consumption
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in embedded systems and field deployments
  • Contribute to code reviews and maintain thorough technical documentation
  • Support bring-up and validation of new hardware platforms

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems (bare-metal and RTOS)
  • Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and USB
  • Experience using debugging tools (programmer/debuggers, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc.)
  • Understanding of memory management, interrupts, and real-time constraints
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior Engineers

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ARM-based processors or similar architectures
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol and Bluetooth modules
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Exposure to secure firmware development and OTA updates
  • Experience writing software applications (C#, Python, etc)

This role reports to the Principal Software Engineer under the Product organization. You'll be a critical piece of a highly talented and focused team creating professional grade products, that are incredibly simple to use and help all of us Feel Good so we can Do More.
