We are always looking for new talents and highly specialized professionals, more specifically for:
Diagnostic & Testing Engineer / Triage Engineer (Powertrain)
to support the investigation and resolution of powertrain-related issues in internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The role focuses on diagnostic analysis, data interpretation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust root cause identification and corrective action implementation during development and validation phases.
Responsibilities:
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of powertrain system malfunctions using diagnostic data.
- Use CANalyzer, CANcase, CDA tools to analyze CAN network behavior.
- Support vehicle and bench-level testing using ETAS INCA and diagnostic measurement tools.
- Execute test bench activities (Customer Engine Bench).
- Support sensor and actuator testing (e.g., Camshaft, Crankshaft, Thermostat).
- Document issues clearly and contribute to structured problem-solving activities (8D, DFSS, A3).
- Perform physical inspections and basic teardown if needed.
- Validate proposed solutions through retesting and data verification.
Requirements:
- Solid experience with ETAS INCA for measurement, data logging, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of CAN / LIN communication protocols, UDS, DTC, and diagnostic frameworks.
- Ability to interpret logs, fault memory, and system behavior in relation to expected performance.
- Familiarity with failure analysis tools and structured problem-solving methodologies (DFSS, A3, 8D).
- Knowledge of ICE, hybrid, and electric powertrain systems and their control architectures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in diagnostic testing, or triage roles within powertrain development.
- Exposure to tools such as CANalyzer / CANcase or equivalent is a plus.
- Previous exposure to OEM or Tier-1 diagnostic processes is a plus.
