Chief Enterprise Architect - Cisco Networking SME

Akkodis is seeking a Chief Enterprise Architect (Cisco Networking SME) for a Direct Hire position with a client located in the United States. This person will need to live in Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex but will be remote. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of pre-sales solutioning experience and expertise in designing and deploying complex technology architectures. This role will lead go-to-market strategy development and engage directly with customers, vendors, and executive stakeholders to design innovative technical solutions. The selected candidate will also create detailed solution documentation, Statements of Work (SOWs), and support business growth through technical thought leadership.

Salary Range: $180,000-185,000 per year plus bonus potential

Salary may be negotiable based upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with business leaders to deliver resources and services that support organizational objectives and core values.
• Define and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies, including solution design documentation and proposals.
• Engage with customers, vendors, and internal engineering teams to develop technical solutions for complex projects.
• Create Statements of Work (SOW), Level of Effort (LOE), Bill of Materials (BOM), and detailed technical design documentation.
• Lead solution design discussions, whiteboarding sessions, and technical presentations.
• Provide technical thought leadership, training, and support for new solutions and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering practices and Customer Acquisition Engineers (CAEs) to develop large-scale project deliverables.
• Maintain deep expertise in vendor technologies and stay current on market trends and technical advancements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of technical pre-sales or solution architecture experience.
• Experience designing and deploying complex Cisco enterprise architectures.
• Strong experience in Campus Networking
• Strong experience interacting with technical teams, engineering leadership, vendors, and C-level stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead whiteboarding sessions, design workshops, and customer-facing presentations.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more technology domains such as networking, systems, cloud, or security.
• Professional or expert-level certifications (CCIE, JNCIE, security certifications, or similar) preferred.
• Deep understanding of service lifecycle management and technology solution delivery.
• Strong communication, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
