About the job
Chasin Flava is an early-stage culinary technology platform built to help chefs protect their culinary creations, own their work, and create opportunities from it.
At the center of Chasin Flava is The Preserve, a space where chefs can document their original recipes, establish a record connected to their work, and build toward future opportunities to sell, license, or lease their creations. The platform also helps chefs host culinary experiences, reach Guests, and connect with Vendors that can support their work.
We are looking for a Business Development Intern who wants practical experience in startup growth, market research, outreach, storytelling, content creation, follow-up, and pipeline management.
This is a 12-week, remote, unpaid educational internship with an expected commitment of approximately eight hours per week. You will work directly with the founder through structured training, guided assignments, weekly feedback, and supervised outreach.
What you will learn:
• How to understand and communicate a startup’s value proposition
• How to research and identify qualified chef prospects
• How to study a city or culinary market
• How to write thoughtful, personalized outreach
• How storytelling can support business development
• How to organize follow-ups and manage a prospect pipeline
• How to measure responses and improve messaging
• How interested chefs move from discovery to platform activation
What you will work on:
• Learning the Chasin Flava platform and its Chef, Guest, and Vendor audiences
• Researching independent chefs and culinary creators
• Building organized prospect lists using approved sources
• Drafting personalized outreach and follow-up messages
• Participating in supervised, founder-approved outreach
• Developing story-led content based on chef needs and experiences
• Tracking conversations, questions, and pipeline activity
• Reviewing results and recommending improvements
• Completing a final presentation covering your work and what you learned
Marketing at Chasin Flava goes beyond traditional promotion. We use storytelling to help people understand the value of a chef’s work, the risks chefs face when sharing original creations, and why chefs deserve more protection, ownership, and opportunity.
This opportunity may be a good fit for a college student or early-career professional interested in business development, growth marketing, entrepreneurship, partnerships, storytelling, or culinary technology.
Culinary experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone who is curious, organized, dependable, comfortable asking questions, and able to communicate in a warm and natural voice.
Internship details:
• Remote within the United States
• 12-week commitment
• Approximately eight hours per week
• Weekly virtual training and feedback session
• Flexible independent work around school or employment commitments
• Direct supervision and mentorship from the founder
• Unpaid, with no wages, benefits, or equity
This internship is designed to provide structured learning and practical experience. It does not guarantee or create an expectation of employment after the internship.
