This role reports on-site to our Indianapolis office five days per week.
Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and updating essential IT infrastructure, including servers, endpoints, security tools, email, software, and hardware. This role also performs system backups and recovery, maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity, has knowledge of commonly used concepts/practices/procedures, and assists end-users resolve desktop PC and laptop, telephone, and other systems-related issues.
General Responsibilities:
· Perform server administration tasks; research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
· Monitor health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
· Manage and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts.
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade internal infrastructure, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
· Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause and provide technical support.
· Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
· Document project tasks, design, test, and implementation. Request input and review from management and technical team members.
· Utilizes formal and informal training to maintain skill sets.
Skills and Abilities:
· A strong technical background in Windows and Linux server administration.
· Ability to resolve common problems such as file system capacity, consistency and
integrity of file systems, understand and take action on hardware related problems such
as CPU, RAM, and disk failures.
· Project Management and team coordination.
· Effective written and verbal communications skills with all levels of internal and external
customers and staff.
· Ability to concurrently manage multiple priorities.
· Ability to maintain a high level of discretion when dealing with sensitive/ confidential information.

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
· 3+ years’ experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting the equipment listed above in an enterprise class environment.
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires communication effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
- This role requires navigation of multiple screens for several hours a time.
- This role requires observing and comprehending various data and communications.
