About the Role
As our Operations Specialist, you'll own critical parts of our service delivery day to day — the connective tissue between homeowners, pros, and our internal tools.

You'll work directly with our COO. And because Jack is growing so quickly, the role will evolve just as fast — what you own today is the starting point, not the ceiling. The processes you build become how Jack runs, and as we scale, so does your opportunity.

What You'll Do
Here's what today looks like — expect it to grow with us:

• Move members to yes. Assemble proposals and bids, and follow up until members decide.
• Dispatch jobs. Once a member approves, book the right pro, confirm the details, and remind the pro ahead of the visit so every job happens as planned.
• Own the live queue during your hours — questions, reschedules, urgent repairs, day-of issues — with a crisp handoff so nothing in flight gets dropped.
• Grow our pro network. Research pros in our service areas, cold call and win them over, and get them onboarded and credential-verified.
• Keep records accurate. Job documentation, member records, vendor information — the system is our source of truth.
• Improve how we work. Document processes, spot what breaks, propose fixes.

What You'll Bring
Above all: you're reliable, an exceptional communicator, process-oriented, and a great problem-solver — you love organizing chaos, and when you say a job is handled, it's handled.

• 1–5 years in operations, inside sales, customer support, or dispatch/scheduling
• Genuine comfort on the phone — you build trust quickly with homeowners and tradespeople alike
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Thinks on your feet — you turn a job gone sideways into the reason a customer becomes a Jack evangelist
• Sharp on details — the missing ZIP code, the invoice that doesn't match the work — without waiting for a playbook to act
• Fluent with spreadsheets, Notion, Google Workspace, and AI tools like Claude

Nice to have: home services, trades, or property management background; early-stage startup experience.

Logistics
Location: Portland, OR or fully remote (US)

Arrangement: Full-time preferred; open to contractor or part-time for the right person. Starting immediately.

Schedule: Monday–Friday. Our team covers members from 8am–10pm ET (5am–7pm PT); we'll work with you to set a schedule within that window. Occasional light weekend coordination when a job is in motion.
