Shake is building a new category

Shake is social prediction markets. Shake lets you create a market on anything happening in your life — "Tim won't go to the gym this week," "Priya bails on brunch again," "nobody in this group chat books the flight" — and your friends trade on whether it happens. A real market maker prices every bet, so the odds move as your friends pile in. Polymarket, but between people who actually know Tim.

We believe the biggest prediction market won't be the one with the best odds on the Fed. It will be the one your group chat opens every day.

The iOS app is built and live on play money. We are a two-person team raising a pre-seed to turn on real money — payments, licensing, compliance, geo-gating. Building a new category is hard, and building the consumer version of one is harder. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (very small) team.

About the Role

We're looking for a Growth Intern focused on social media to help Shake break into culture and grow through organic short-form content. You'll be responsible for building our content engine from scratch — developing formats, writing and shooting videos, growing our accounts, and turning what happens inside the app into content people actually want to send to a friend.

This role can span multiple channels — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, X, and more — and is perfect for someone who is deeply immersed in internet culture and knows how to spot what's about to go viral.

What You'll Do

Create & Ship: Concept, script, shoot, edit, and post short-form video daily across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Volume over polish.
Mine the Product: Turn real markets on Shake into native content. Every bet our users create is a video we haven't made yet.
Find the Format: Identify the two or three repeatable formats that actually perform, then produce them at volume and articulate why they work.
Launch Campuses: Take Shake school by school. Seed group chats, recruit ambassadors, and run activations that get people signing up together.
Build the Loop: Design the invite and referral mechanics that get users to bring their friends. One Shake user is useless; eight are a party.
Track & Optimize: Measure every experiment, report results clearly, and continuously refine what we double down on.

Who's a Good Fit

Chronically online. You're plugged into internet culture 24/7 and know where trends start.
You've built an audience before. A meme account, a Discord, a newsletter, a personal following — you've grown something from zero and can show us the numbers.
Virality radar. You can instinctively tell what will catch fire online, and you can explain why after the fact.
Hands-on maker. Comfortable in CapCut or similar, willing to be on camera or to find the people who will be. You've handled content end-to-end, not just briefed someone else to make it.
Bias toward action. You'd rather post the rough version today than the perfect version in two weeks.
Genuinely into this. Betting, prediction markets, group chat culture — you'll be living in it all day.
(Plus) Currently on a college campus, or experience with creator sourcing and UGC.

The Internship

Remote, US time zones. We're based in the Dallas area and are happy to work in person if you're nearby.
10–20 hours/week, flexible around classes.
This is an unpaid role with equity. We're pre-seed and would rather state that plainly than dress it up. When the round closes, the first person we put on payroll is whoever moved our numbers.
You'll work directly with both founders. Minimal hierarchy, no busywork.
