About the Role
Exceptional direct hire opportunity: Electrical Engineering Regional Manager for the Northeast Life Sciences division of a major engineering firm. You will lead a team of approximately 20 engineers and designers across multiple concurrent projects in design and construction phases.
This is a senior department head role — you will interface directly with clients, manage project estimates and staffing plans, and report to the EE Department Director for Life Science North America. Based in Conshohocken, PA with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite).
Key Responsibilities
• Lead Northeast regional EE department for ~20 engineers and designers
• Interface with clients to understand scope and develop project estimates and staffing plans
• Complete early feasibility studies and concept designs in multidiscipline teams
• Lead department meetings and coordinate staffing and activities across the region
• Report to and align with the EE Department Director, Life Science North America
• Manage regional staffing needs, technical challenges, and workforce planning
• Design life science facility electrical systems: medium/low voltage, UPS/generator, lighting, grounding, heat trace
• Mentor and develop team members
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) — required
• 15+ years of EE design experience including building electrical systems and NFPA 70 (NEC)
• Medium and low voltage power system design
• UPS and generator system design
• Life science facility design experience — required
• Team management experience (engineers and designers)
• Multi-discipline project experience with client-facing responsibilities
• PE license — strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Life science campus facility design experience
• Proficiency in Revit
• Extensive experience collaborating with life science client electrical professionals
